In the Forex market Beware of Affinity Fraud

By Tom K Kearns

We were taught at our very young ages to look left and right before crossing the street; pay attention to the brightly colored cross walker that guided us, and the bus lights accompanied by the electrically pulled-out stop sign with the intent of restraining us from crossing the street. Now, in our older years concerns about money and internet scams, prompt us to keep an eye on the predators that prey upon us, like the bully at school after our lunch money.

Affinity frauds are like lions in the grass watching us like dinner. In the money markets, affinity frauds pounce on the identifiable and very specific groups, factions of religion, ethnicity, and demographics. It is a new type of fraud that is being watched closely in the Forex market. Playing in the field of predators, some brokers offer alleged investment opportunities to specific areas claiming affinity (likeness, similarity) towards them. Only to lure in a feeling of comfort to better the ability to reel them like fish to the hooked worm.

Getting things done and getting people connected in a world where enormity of true connection is easily portrayed is effortless, via emailing, instant messaging, and so on. Individuals need to be aware of this when they are making investments with Forex brokers or other types. The companies, regulators, and capital of the newfound brokers, traders or investors need to be researched.

A typical move from these swindlers is actually being legitimate with a few real customers, forming the bond, working with them hand in hand, getting the testimonials, and then using that as collateral to fetch others. Unfortunately for the "others" they are the lucky one's to be embarked on a fraud that can lead to damages they cannot live with. All too common in this situation is the lack of notifying the authority but instead trying to fix issues within the group, leaving them quickly shorthanded and alone.

Ways to avoid Affinity Frauds

1) The most important and first thing that should be done is to call and ask your state or provincial security agencies about the sales person, firm or company before investing ANYTHING. This simple maneuver can save most people a lot of money. See if the investment is allowed to be sold after asking if investor or company is registered. These investors do not care in any way for you and have a way with words so if they are not completely back away. DO your research.

2) Obtain written information from the investor on the procedures of the investment, risks of the investment, and procedures on getting your money out!

3) Get professional advice from an attorney, financial planner, or accountant. You are much better off whether you get it free from a friend or you pay them.

4) Pay attention to testimonials dates. The investor's earlier people, that were legitimate, may have wonderful and enthusiastic things to say but later arrivals may not be so happy. Watch for repetitive names and out of the ordinary names. Be AWARE! - 23200

Orlando - Plan Your Retirement, Not Just A Vacation

By Jack Chambers

Low Cost Opportunities

Recession has left property valuation in the US at rock bottom. Still one can earn a handsome profit in short term if Orlando investment property is purchased after shrewd planning.

Tourist destinations have always been money churning machines. In fact, when deciding on the right investment for short term, the parameter to keep in mind today is location. Places like Houston and Orlando hardly have any off-season and are thronged by tourists all around the year, thus pushing up the property prices. The way to go today is to cash in on the lower off-plan prices. They are invariably a more profitable deal than investing in completed projects of similar scale and locations. An extension of this strategy is to "flip" Orlando investment property, where the units are sold off before their completion. The profit making opportunity occurs because of rise in value of the unit as the project nears completion. Now to successfully employ this strategy one needs to clarify the re-assignment rules of the property before finalizing the deal. Certain owners charge a percentage of the purchase price as a fee for allowing re-assignment of property.

Timeline

Real estate players have taken numerous steps to encourage investors. They have been offered friendly and flexible payment plans like an installment system. They are at times asked to pay at the time of the completion of the project with a small amount deposited when they enter the investment. In terms of the project life-cycle, the earlier you enter the deal the better it is. Earlier entry into Orlando investment property comes with the privilege of first right to the units. This way the investor can choose the unit most likely to get a good price.

Assess Risk

The most important lesson to learn in any type of investing is the art of risk management. In the Orlando property market the investor will always have a lot of choices. The key is to select the area that suits his needs and is the most attractive one based on parameters like appearance, location and facilities.

Another important angle to consider is the exit strategy. Investors should have a plan of action whereby they are ready for instantaneous bail-out in case they have to liquidate the investment at a short notice. This includes a back-up plan if market falls and you cannot get a buyer.

Payback

The economic crisis has affected the short term return on investment to an extent. The recovery, although on cards, will still take some time. In fact, the current market is perfect for long term investment. This will ensure substantial capital returns apart from a steady flow of rental income from your Orlando investment property. The investment's profitability can further be increased by spotting an opportunity early on and reserving it at pre-release stage at a discounted price. - 23200

Matters To Hold In Mind For Building Your House

By Gavin J. King

Find Your Property

First, it is a good idea to find the property that you want to build on. Things like location, price, applicable taxes, zoning and density laws and building permits may be just a few of the issues you will be dealing with in getting your buildsite approved for construction.

Funding

Investors really make the best source of construction loans due to their flexibility but banks and credit unions will do just fine. Plan to put fixtures and upgrades in your home that fit your budget and your personality. You need to have house plans drawn up to estimate the price of the final product. Your lender will need the drawings to approve any loans.

Architects Are Vital

From California to New York to Arkansas, home plans include foundation, framing, siding, plumbing and electrical details, and can range from as little as $600, to as much as several thousand. It is always best to screen at least three applicants before you hire any professional and architects are no different. Then take these plans and prices to your lender, and see what they will offer you in terms of financing.

Be Flexible

Having a custom home built is an enormous project. The building of your home is often dependent on issues that are outside of your control, such as weather conditions or availability of products needed. Getting irritated with people will simply not endear them to your cause, so follow the Gold Rule.

Having your own home built can be an exhausting, yet very rewarding endeavor. As with so many other things in life, you just have to keep pushing and step by step you will reach your goal and complete building your dream home. Not reaching your goal to complete your home construction will potentially cost you everything you have, so failure is not an option.

Of course, this is just a general outline. Spending you time learning about construction and improving on your own knowledge base will help you understand what is going on in each phase, and keep you in the know on your home construction. - 23200

Beginners Look At ETF Trend Trading

By Patrick Deaton

There will be a lot of different types of trading discussed when a person enters ETF. One of the often discussed types of trading is ETF Trend Trading. If you have taken a course or read about ETF trading, you already know that to be successful you need to do a technical analysis of a sector. This and other historical information helps you to spot patterns and trends in the sector in which you are trading.

Trend trading is doing technical analysis on sectors to identify trends then hopping in when a trend begins and getting out when the trend shifts. Sound familiar? If you are doing the homework to be successful, you are already basing trades on trending. This is not a secret method of trading that will require more effort than one currently puts in if they are doing technical analysis and historical data collection prior to trading. It is more focused on the analytical indicators, but is not different.

There are different types of trends that a technical analysis can be used for. When a person does a three to five year analysis on a section they are focusing more on the short term. Short term indicators may show the changing trends, but those trends may be more affected by other variables in the current market and may have some false indicators that will not be helpful in reaching the kind of gains that a person is working towards.

It can be easy for a person who likes to do analytical studies to get caught up in the analytics of a sector and miss opportunities that are presented. Technical analysis is a tool that will help you to make more effective trades. If you are missing opportunities because you are caught up in the analysis of sectors or indicators that appear, then you may want to set some limits on the extent of the analysis that you will do before beginning to put that knowledge to work for you.

When a trend is analyzed that covers 1-3 years it is called a short term trend. Doing a short term trend analysis is effective is a person is working on a sector that introduces a product or makes a research discovery every one to three years. But, there are a lot more opportunities shown in that short term chart that one may miss if they have not done further research.

Long term trends cover a sector for a ten to thirty year period. Within that chart will be intermediate term trends that occur on a regular basis. Some sectors, especially financial products have more long term and intermediate trends than short-term trends in the market. By identifying the intermediate trends and using them in combination with short term trends a person has opened a whole new level of opportunities for making strategic trades and gains in their trading efforts.

Successful traders do not act without some background information on the sector in which they are trading. When a person hops in and out of trades without doing the research that is required to be effective, they may have some wins. But, they will have more lost opportunities than a person who knows when a trend is going to reverse and can take proactive steps before it starts to free-fall.

When a person has a long term ETF, they are most interested in long-term trends. A sector that is in a rising trend for ten years, then reverses course rapidly can catch a person unaware if they have not done the technical analysis to prepare for that reverse. - 23200

Hints For Beginners: ETF Trend Trading

By Patrick Deaton

Learning about ETF trend trading and whether or not it will be difficult will depend on how you learned to start trading. There are many types, strategies, methods, and ideas for effective trading of ETFs. When a person has done the research necessary to have success in ETF trading, they have probably already learned about ETF trend trading, but don't realize it.

There are a wide range of people who use analytical programs and tools to conduct technical analysis of sectors. This is one of the key parts of trend trading. The analytical program will show detailed information about highs and lows for each trend over a given period. It also shows how long the trend lasted and in which direction it was going. These programs can be very useful tools for an individual who is going to be trending or working with a strategy that includes Buy and Sell points.

When a person uses one of these tools, it is important to remember that without other indicators, the information shown on the trend may not be providing all of the information that one will need to make successful trades. A trend may show a significant drop, for instance, if there is a major executive level change in a major business within a sector during a short term trend. When this occurs the trend may show a downward flow for up to two years.

When a significant event occurs with a major business within a sector, it often impacts the trend for that sector. This event may be a one-time occurrence that happens to fall during a rise in the stock that makes a great enough impact to disrupt the entire trend line for that sector.

EFT trend trading is simply using analysis effectively. When the momentum of a sector changes a trader will get in, going long in the trend is upward. When the trend reverses, they get out. When the momentum is downward a person takes a short position. The key to making gains in this trading is to know when to get in and when to get out. For many people the time to make a move is done on a feeling that the trend is reversing.

When an individual is going to begin doing the necessary analytical work to make effective trades they will want to take a holistic approach. Including historical data, current market climates in that sector, and any anticipated significant changes to that sector will all act to make trades more successful.

Setting buy and sell limits will act as a safety net, should a trend begin to reverse too soon. When a person gets involved with a sector through analytical and historical analysis, they sometimes get too involved. It is important to have a limit and stick with it when trend trading.

There is a lot to learn when one wants to delve into ETF trend trading. It is very helpful to visit websites and forums run by successful traders to use different types of trading, methods, and strategies to widen the base of knowledge that one has about trading. By getting information from people who are successful, it is much easier to develop a technique and strategy that will be most effective in making the successful gains that are possible with ETF trading. - 23200
