Capped Bust Silver Quarter - Scarce Quarter Fetches Premium Price

By Christina Goldman

The Capped Bust Silver Quarter counts among the rarest coins ever minted in the United States. These silver quarter coins were first minted in 1815 and were the immediate successors of the equally rare draped bust silver quarters which started minting in 1796. These two silver quarter varieties were minted by the then fledgling US government to replace the Spanish two-reales coin circulating in the Americas.

The Capped Bust Silver Quarter carried the same design as the other coins, like the half dollar, minted during that time. Production of these quarters went on until 1838, and these coins together with the draped bust quarter, have been named by numismatists as the "Early Quarters" commanding premium prices among coin collectors.

Other key years to look out for when scouting for the Early Quarters are 1823, 1804 and 1796. Notably from 1804 onwards, the reverse side of the Early Quarters sported a bigger, "heraldic" eagle, suggestive of strength and power that collectors and numismatists appreciate over coins of earlier vintage which had smaller eagle designs.

It is a sound advice that before buying a Capped Bust Silver Quarter or any of the Early Quarters, the buyer must have an assurance that these items have certification of authenticity from reputable numismatist groups or associations like the ANACS, NGC, PCGS and ICG. Another is to deal only with reputable dealers.

A useful website for reference on the capped bust silver quarter can be found in the net. This site carries a legitimate eBay auction listing of Early Quarters and their key dates. Through this listing, a prospective buyer could check the trend of the pricing, and compare various price levels within years, comparative data that are useful to the serious collector or dedicated numismatist. - 23200

Forex Trading- Forex Strategies

By fx

Forex Trading is financially the most rewarding strategy for Traders. With more than $2 trillion dollars turned over daily is also the most liquid trading market available. However in order to be a successful Forex Trader the simple most important thing that any trader either trading in the Forex market or looking to trade Forex can do is to educate themselves to become better Forex Traders. Today we will look at some key educational lessons to help you become a better Forex Trader.

This article focuses on building up solid forex profits using proven long term trading strategies. If you look at any forex chart, you will see long-term term trends that last for months or years. These moves can and do yield serious profit - present we will outline a simple method to get them.

Breakouts- Trading on Confirmation of Break outs

By far the best way of catching the serious moves is to use a forex trading strategy based around breakouts. A breakout is simply a move on a forex chart where a new high or low is made and resistance or support is broken.

It's a fact that most leading moves start from new highs or lows. Right this an sit it next to your computer so that you don't forget it.

While it might appear that you are not buying or selling at the greatest level, you are in terms of the odds of the trend continuing. Most forex traders make the mistake of waiting for the breakout to come back and get in at a better price but these traders never get on board. The grounds for this is if a breakout occurs, then you have a new strong trend and a pullback is not very likely to occur. So you will the boat and therefore profits.

Most traders don't buy or sell breakouts and that's exactly why it's such a powerful method.

The only point to keep in mind is a support or resistance which is ruined, should be valid and that means at least 3 points in at least 2 different times frames. The more tests and the greater the spacing between the tests the more valid the level is.

Confirmation- Don't Guess it, Confirm IT

Of course not every breakout keeps and some reverse, these are false and can cause losses. You therefore need to confirm each move. All you need to do to achieve this is to put a few momentum indicators in your forex trading system to confirm your dealing signal.

These indicators give you an estimation of the strength and velocity of price and there are many to choose from. We don't have time to discuss them here (simply look up our other articles) but two of the greatest are - the stochastic and Relative Strength Index RSI

Stops and Targets

Stop points are easy with breakouts - Simply behind the breakout point.

If you have a serious trend then you need to be careful but you can milk it, so don't move your stop to soon and keep it outside of normal volatility. If it is a huge move, trailing stops should be held a long-term way back and the 40 day moving average is a good level to use.

You have to keep in mind that when the trend does eventually turn you are going to give some profit back. You don't know when the trend is going to end, so don't predict it.

It's ok to give a little bit back, as that's the nature of trading forex. Keep in mind if you got 50% of all leading trend you would be very rich. When you are long-term term trend following you have accept giving a bit back and taking dips in open equity as the trend develops - this is noise and does not affect the long term trend.

The above is a simple way to trade forex and catch the high odds moves that yield the serious profit. If you are learning forex dealing and want a simple method that is robust and will help you get every major move, then you should base your dealing on the above method.

Becoming a CTA Takes Time and a Savings Nest Egg

By Bill Johnson

Money is the bloodstream of the world, and commodities trading advisors play an important role in keeping the money flowing. According to the National Futures Association, a CTA is any individual or firm that directly or indirectly advises clients on the trading of futures or options contracts. CTAs must be registered with the Commodities Futures Trading Commission in order to be professional money managers.

There's no formal education process to become a CTA. Although it may be helpful to first start at a trading firm prior to beginning a CTA career, it doesn't guarantee a successful career nor is it required by federal regulations. Many CTAs have had little to no formal training and still proven themselves successful. However, working first for a firm can help you decide if you really have a knack for trading futures.

Although there is no formal training process required, you still need the credentials. Even before applying to the NFA, you must pass the Series 3 exam. This 120-question, two-and-a-half hour test measures your understanding of the futures market, including its makeup and regulations.

Like any other test, you may benefit from tips and suggestions on test preparation, as well as strategies to take the test. There are many professional study guides specifically aimed at the Series 3 exam. Practice tests can keep you from being blindsided the morning of the test.

Deciding to become a CTA takes careful consideration. How much success have you had investing in the stock market, and was it continual through a variety of market conditions? Some success may be blind luck. Real talent sustains itself over time through all types of market conditions.

It's also important to consider personal finances and other life situations. You should have a considerable savings in the bank, as chances are you won't see a single paycheck the first year or two, unless your CTA firm already has a substantial amount under management. Even handling a $1,000,000 account with a 2 percent management fee only brings in $20,000 a year, or $1,600 a month.

Not only that, but you'll have to pay trading costs, technology costs as well as fees for traditional support and rent. Building a successful career as a CTA takes not only time, but also a substantial savings in the bank to sustain you those first years starting the business.

Yet, if you have a natural knack for investment, your career may pay off considerably in the end. Even in rocky financial times like these, CTAs play a vital role in the marketplace. Learning to spot changes and trends ahead of the curve is the key to sustaining a career over time. - 23200

What Forex Trading Software Is About

By Michael Lenner

There are many forex trading software programs available, but they are not all created equally. While quite a few are quality programs, others arent worth a second look.

As there is no way to predict which product is worthless, it is best to know the warning signs that may signify a product is less than desirable.

Some of these red flags include a lack of client assistance-- both prior to sale of the product and thereafter; products sold as-is with no return option; unclear description of the actual product; and those with no evidence of performance. These red flags are clarified below.

If the company cannot resolve all questions and concerns before purchase of its product, nor will it address issues after the purchase, then the product cannot be worth purchasing.

As this product requires specialized knowledge and training to operate, technical support is of supreme importance. Therefore, access to the vendor for guidance is a must.

A return policy is necessary to ensure that your program will operate according to the company's claims. A company that does not offer a refund for defective or damaged software calls its own integrity into question.

The sales copy should be clear and you should be able to find out the details about your purchase clearly. For clarification purpose you may ask questions but once you decide to purchase the system, the sale copy should give you all the necessary details.

Finally, look out for proof that works before you buy the software for forex trading. Do not go only by the vendors word but look out for proof and whether the company supports their claims about the product. - 23200

Looking to the Future With Investing

By Rick Amorey

Many of you may find my story to be a familiar one. Let me start: When I began to realize that my parents could not afford to get me to a good university, I knew I had to push forward on my own. So what did I do? Why, I did the logical thing, of course; I applied for a student loan so that I can secure my future. I got accepted, and save for a few bumps, my college life went pretty okay.

Afterwards, I began to work so that I can pay off my student loan. Beyond that, my paycheck has been reduced by the costs of living alone; rent, food, stuff like that. I still earned enough to start saving up, little by little. My future was set for the moment, at least.

Let's move on to my present story. I now have a loving fianc?, and we're thinking of applying for a housing loan so that we can raise a family right. My student loan has since been paid off, after all. My current rent no longer affects me as much, either, due to my higher pay. Life has been good, but I can?t help but worry that it will not last.

Life becomes progressively harder because of the continuing recession, but we are at least now, we are aware that there is a problem. With our combined efforts, I believe that we can get out of this difficult situation in the next ten years at most. The present may be problematic, but I continue to see myself looking towards the same thing that I always have; the future.

it comes as no surprise that for me to look for the best investments for my savings. But how would I make myself aware of which investment to take? And should I worry about the country's current financial state? Maybe I wait for it to settle down before I invest. There are many options for investing; from bonds to stocks to individual businesses, and each of them have perks and risks that I need to study first. - 23200
