Money Management Principles in Forex Trading (Part III)

By Ahmad Hassam

Perhaps the best advice that you will receive from someone is live to trade another day. Currency markets are brutal, volatile and ruthless. In minutes you can lose many pips. You should learn to survive in the markets in the long run. Do not lose all your money in a single day.

The single most common factor that causes many currency traders to blow up their accounts and lose all their money is greed. You start taking unnecessary risks when you get greedy. You will spend many hours trying to find the Holy Grail technical indictor or a forex robot that can make you rich. You will believe that by discovering that secret, you will become rich.

Unfortunately there is no such Holy Grail for anyone. No one has ever found such a secret. You cannot always win. You will win and you will lose. Learn not to risk more than 2% of your account on one single trade. Grow your account incrementally and slowly over time. Never ever get into the temptation to risk big trying to make one single winning trade that can make you rich.

Now, know how much you are willing to risk in a single trade. I have said 2%. But if you want to be aggressive you can go up to 5%. But stay between 2-5%. Dont exceed it. On the other hand, if you are conservative, you should consider risking between 1-2% only.

Once you have decided on the risk level you are going to take, knowing the rest is simple for you. Suppose you have a $50,000 account and you decide on a risk level of 2% for a single trade. How much you can risk on a single trade? You can only risk (50,000) (0.02) =$1,000, this is the maximum you should risk on a single trade.

However, if you are in more than one trade at the same time, the amount may be higher. Suppose, you are in 3 trades and you risk only $1,000 per trade. So the total amount at risk will be $3,000. Once you have determined your risk level, you are ready to determine the trade size.

Trade size is the number of contracts you purchase in any one trade. To determine the trade size, you need to first determine where you want to put your stop loss. Lets use an example to make it clear. Suppose you are willing to risk $1000 on trading EUR/USD pair. You decide on a stop loss of 50 pips. Each pip on EUR/USD pair is $10 worth. So the number of contracts that you need to trade are (1,000)/ (50) (10) =2.

You have taken the guesswork out of your trading once you have determined your risk level and calculated the trade size. You can sleep well now knowing how much of your money is at risk. You are going to be able to trade tomorrow, no matter what happens today.

Using these common money management rules will help you avoid the pitfall of losing almost all the money in your account. Learning to survive the markets and trade another day is the essence of trading. This can help your trading take the next level of profitability. - 23200

Is Doubling Stocks Worth The Money?

By June Timbers

Penny trading can easily make you a millionaire. This is what a number of websites have been telling people for so long now. But as fast as it can turn people into rich businessmen, it can also get them broke. Its all in the matter of playing your cards well and getting ahead of the game.

The reason why penny trading is deemed to be an easy way to get filthy rich is quite simple. Stocks that cost more usually have a more stable footing in the stock market. This means that you wouldnt be able to take advantage of the fluctuations.

But if you take part in penny trading, the stocks that cost only cents can double or even triple its value in mere minutes. If you are looking to buy stocks at when they are devalued and then sell them once they appreciate, you wont have to wait too long if you engage in penny trading.

Penny trading may be very entrancing to those who want to earn much, but its not without its share of risks. You can get really successful with penny trading, but you can also lose everything you got with it. Values of penny stocks can devaluate in no time. And once you want to buy stocks that you think will increase in value, there might not be anyone to buy from. And once it is your turn to sell, you might not find any buyer.

Penny trading may be very enticing but a number of investors have been intimated by the circumstances and have opted to pass instead. However, those who preferred to stay on have opted to use Doubling Stocks.

The reason why plenty of people are reluctant to try Doubling Stocks is because it gives out biased recommendations. But the thing is this: even if it does, their suggestions are still helpful. This is why regardless of that fact a lot of investors still think that Doubling Stocks is indeed effective.

If you are still hesitant, try out Doubling Stocks and paper trade for the first few days to see if it does work. - 23200

By Bart Icles

The FOREX market ( foreign currency market, FX ) is a currency market where the trading or buying and selling of foreign currencies takes place. It is where bank and other financial institutions facilitate this type of trading. Transactions are done where involved parties purchase a sum of one currency in exchange for paying the sum of another. The FX market is presently the world's largest and most liquid of financial markets, which includes trading between banks, central banks, corporation, governments, currency investors, and other institutions. The market's average daily volume in the world foreign exchange and related markets is continually growing with a turnover amounting to over 3 trillion US dollars - and still rising. Investing in FOREX can be done through Investment Management Firms, Retail Forex traders, banks, central banks, and hedge funds.

FX market's purpose is to facilitate investment and trade the world over. It's a very unique market because of the sheer size of its trading volume, its being extremely liquid, its geographical spread, its long trading hours, has exchange rates that can be influenced by various factors, and lets investors gain high profits even with low margins due to the nature of its large trading volumes.

FOREX Investment management firms use the FOREX market to facilitate transactions from managed accounts on behalf of clients like endowments and pension funds. For example, invest managers who have international equity portfolios can buy and sell currency majors to pay for purchases of foreign equities.

Retail FOREX traders compose a small fraction of the trade market that participate indirectly through banks and brokers.

Interbank market caters mostly to the majority of daily commercial traders and of the speculative investment traders. On occasion a bank will do trading at the request of a valued client, but much of its trading is for its own account.

Central banks play a vital role in the foreign exchange markets as it possesses a vast financial reserves and can influence the supply of money, inflation and interest rates. With substantial foreign exchange reserves, they can stabilize the market wherein they can buy currencies which are at a low and sell these when at a high based on their more precise trade information.

They pay a performance fee, and in return are exempted from regulations governing short selling and leveraging. They compose part of the speculative market that can take control of billions of dollars in equity if economic factors are in their favor. - 23200

Forex Trading Systems: Understanding Discretionary and Mechanical Systems

By John Eather

There are 2 common kinds of Forex trading systems, termed mechanical and discretionary systems. Mechanical systems render trading signals that are supported by systematic data analysis and other technical analyses. Discretionary systems, however, apply components that are more arduous to measure, such as trader experience, and intuition regarding entries and exits. Which of these fetches the better outcomes? And, more significantly, which of these best accommodates your trading manner? Let's commence by appraising the good and bad of each system.

Advantages A mechanical system is able to be entirely automatic and backtested for efficacy. It engages fast rules and info. Mechanical traders are apt to focus less on hunches than discretionary traders.

Disadvantages Just about all traders backtest Forex trading systems wrongly. In order to acquire correct outcomes, tick data is needed. However, the Forex market is perpetually in change and has some amount of volatility. Market circumstances may appear similar to a backtest scenario, but they are never exactly the same. A trading strategy that was successessful last year can't be assured of being fruitful this year.

Advantages Discretionary systems are able to easily reconcile to newly ever-dynamic market considerations. Trading conclusions are backed up by experience, and traders use their background knowledge to check which trading signals open larger chances of performing well.

Disadvantages Discretionary systems can't be backtested or automated, because reaching a decision requires a human brain to analyze market conditions. It takes time to build the level of experience necessary to achieve success in tracking trades reliably. This can be dangerous in the beginning.

Therefore, which system is better for Forex traders? The most beneficial system is the one that accommodates your orientations. If you've had trouble following your inherent aptitude, then you might be better off with a mechanical system. This should eradicate the demand to use your opinion; you merely assume the trades indicated by the mechanical system.

Additionally, if you're brought to a standstill by the incertitudes and emotions that plague numerous traders, you'll also be on a better footing with mechanical systems, as you'll be able to merely adopt what the system presents without being overwhelmed by your own intellectual roadblocks. There will be no more psychological torment over whether to go short, go long, close or open a trade - the mechanical system will show this for you.

Notwithstanding, if you've sufficient self-discipline, it'd be advantageous for you to apply a discretionary system. This will grant the highest flexibility in conforming to market conditions, and you'll be able to easily align your trading strategies as the market evolves. E.g., if you've a goal of 30 pips on a long trade but the market embarks on a faster move up than first anticipated, you've the alternative to correct your strategy to turn a profit at 50 pips.

Prior to choosing whether a discretionary or mechanical trading system is good for you, there are a few significant points to deliberate. You'll want to be sure that the kind of Forex trading system you employ agrees your personality, or you will be always doubting your selected system.

You'll need to establish a few trading rules, and more significantly, deliver the discipline to adhere them. Be ready to formulate the most effective system for yourself. This demands time and commitment, but if you do it the right way, this will compensate you over time in a positive way. - 23200

My Thoughts On Maverick Money Makers

By Jack Nayes

Hello and welcome to this page today. In this article I'm going to be discussing a product called maverick money makers which I'm sure you have probably seen advertised if you frequent and make money sites.

The maverick money makers club has been around for a little while now and it has many members. It was created by a guy called Mach Michaels.

If you are thinking about joining maverick money makers then carry on reading this article to find out what I like and dislike about the program before you buy.

Ive been making a living from the internet for a few years now and have become very good at it. Since I came online Ive seen thousands of products come and go. The bad ones dont stick around for long.

Since maverick money makers has become more popular there have been a few people trying to put it down and say that the methods taught are unethical.

Out of all the information contained in the members area there is only one part Id consider blackhat.

The thing that amazes me about maverick money makers is the amount of new content and methods that they are loading into the members area. From what Ive seen its all good information.

My advise is that because there is new content being added regularly you should try extra hard to focus.

Another thing I really like about maverick money makers is the support is very good. I had a question about one of their methods and had a helpful email back within about half an hour.

In my opinion the only problem you may find about the program is that as there is so much info you may feel overloaded.

The greatest thing you can do is to spend some time when you first join looking through all the information and then choose the method you like the best and focus on that method until it's working for you.

Maverick money makers really over delivers and has some great information in there. I'd recommend it if you can stay focused and apply what you learn. - 23200
