Selecting Floor Plans For Modular Homes

By Havan

Modular homes are homes that are manufactured in sections in factories and then transported to a prepared site for final assembly. These homes are cheaper and take relatively less time to construct. It takes a day to put up a 2000 sq.feet house. Modular homes are an inexpensive way to provide large scale low cost housing for the poor.

Modular Home Floor Plans

As in any home floor plan, before constructing a modular home, you will need good home floor plans. These plans are not difficult to obtain. You can get them online or from home improvement stores. There are thousands of home floor so that you are certain to come across a modular home floor plan of your liking. The floor plans for these homes vary from the norms to accommodate their transportation to the site.

You will get modular home floor plans for homes ranging in size from 800 to 3000 sq. feet. You will also get floor plans for cottages and ranches of different sizes and shapes. If you are unable to get the right plan, then you can get one made by modular home builders.

The right plan must be able to answer the following

* How large would your house be?

* What kind of plan would be ideal, considering the neighborhood?

* What is the topography of your plot of land?

* How much are you willing to spend?

* Do you want a single storey or double storey house?

* How many bedrooms do you need?

* How much sun do you want?

Answering these and any other questions that come up - like the ones that an experienced builder or contractor would ask - will enable you to select a floor plan that fits your needs. And the good thing is you can still have a degree of flexibility even afterward as might be able to make minor modifications - in consultation with your builder, of course. - 23200
