Perhaps the most collected are Topps baseball cards which seem to be the most popular of all the brands. This may be because they were the first producers of these photos and this is the probably the ones that signifies great times when they were children.

But why has the trend for gathering this type of collectable become so popular? Well, it seems that people want to hold onto them and aim to make them into full sets or collections.
